Why, is 8600 bad, my budget is anything under £1250 or so, so have you gotm anything better to recomend me?

I'd say this is better but it's probably better to get the parts yourself.

Or this full system

If you can wait a few months (2 or 3), I read on neowin that Intel will start to ship it's new quad-core chips.

It might be a little more expensive than these pointed out of course, but if your budget allows it, why not.

You're being stupid, those are the old ones. They are just two dual core dies stuck together iirc. They are bringing out new ones like albert said.

lol. I understand that's the way all technology goes, but might as well get the latest when buying something that'll last for about 3 years no?

I have exactly no clue lol. I really don't know much about processors, but I don't think these are the new ones I read about.

They would be Q6600s which have been out for months.

These are the release dates/prices for the new 45nm CPUs

The Q core being quad and E being duel core of course.

I'd assume since they were meant to be out in November, they've been pushed back.

E-Buyer are still selling the QX6800 for like £520.

I'm getting a QX9650 with new motherboard when they come out hopefully. :D
