autoblock requests by usser on 12-27-2007 at 07:19 AM

hello

I want to totally block all the requests to add contacts

I want to delete those emails and to deny them automaticaly

I want to only be able to add a contact by sending myself a request and not by being sent a request

is it possible?

thanks

Nope, not possible.

Also because this isn't the way the protocol works. Even if you have something which prevents the showing of such requests, you can never prevent people from adding your Windows Live Id. (And when somebody adds your Windows Live Id you should know about this).

Automatically blocking the people who add you isn't possible either, you need to confirm/decline it manually each time.

Actually, there is an option in Options of Messenger: "Only the contacts in my Allow list can see my status and send message to me" If you untick this option, another option in the same page appears to be avaliable: "Warn me when others add me to their contact lists" If you untick this second option as well, you won't be notified when new contacts add you, also they won't be added to your contact list, but they will be automatically added to your Allow list. But since you also want to block them automatically, I think some workaround but dunno how to do:

If you tick first option, then the second option you see below appears to be unavaliable and ticked as well. But since it is unavaliable, you can't untick that option. I think, if someone finds a way to alter that second option as unticked, then new contacts are moved to Block list automatically and also you don't get notifications about they have added you.

What do you guys think? Can something like this be possible?

That is not possible and I also think that he doesn't want every spammer to see his status, not fill his block list and reverse list.

You could kindly ask the owners of the website to remove your e-mail address :). Or another option is to register a new e-mail address.
