Problem with changing to plsk? by Sao on 01-04-2008 at 07:45 PM

Hey...Ive made a skin and it works fine...but when i put it into a zipped folder i renamed it "***.plsk* and it turned out to be "***.plsk.zip" and then i tried to load it up in messenger but it didnt work.

Could anyone tell me how to turn it into a plsk file sucessfully?

Thanks

I use XP and I didnt use a zipper program I dont think...I just made a new zipped folder and put it all in and then renamed it what I said before.

Sorry, I don't understand your last post.

Problem here is that you are just adding the extension to the file... The file is called "Filename", then you are renaming it to "Filename.plsk" and you think it should be ok, but in reality the file is called "Filename.zip", then you are actually renaming it to "Filename.plsk.zip". This is because Windows by default hides the file extension if there is a program associated to open the file type in question. To properly rename it, you need to enable file extensions for known file types. To do this,

-Open Windows Explorer
-Choose Tools -> Folder Options... from the Menu
-Select View tab page
-Under Advanced Settings uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types
-Click Ok

After this, you will be able to see the .zip extension, and able to replace it with .plsk. Good luck!

You could also use a program called WinZip and rename to plsk. It is going to work fine!
