dont blame me for stupid question maybe, but saw something strange nowadays and its bugging me and because i am not a freak chatter or something, am asking those who know more...
so...one of my contacts have a strange status nowadays.Appears offline or offline, can see coming online in my yahoo messenger but not on msn/because of importing my contacts from msn to yahoo/; then when coming online i can see on his profile in msn web info, messenger info etc. after a while messenger info disappears...
Is that means that this contact is blocking me sometimes or whatever what means that?

Nah, it's not really a bug per-say, but.. it's the 'beta'-ness of the WLM <-> YIM integration they got going on. I tested it at one point, but I never could fully test it that much to make a difference since I don't know anyone with YIM these days.

yes, but I was asking not about the bug or something; I just was wondering if I cannot see on my contact profile the messenger status like messenger appearance, web info and stuff is that means that this contact is blocking me because when he is online I can see this under his profile but when I think he is online but appears offline I cannot see this under his profile....

There are posts around here, and a sticky, that block checkers do not work.

But anyway, it is a bit of a bug and the system isn't seamless, so there are likely to be errors in detecting whether someone is online or not...

I do not use any block checkers or whatever. I was talking about simple right click on contact, then view and then profile, which means I am using msn information...
so my question was about this, not about block checkers.

Yes yes, I know... but it is as I said, the connection between WLM and YIM are very sketchy, so they aren't always accurate..

gloomy, you are right, that is the proper way which shows the people who blocked you and I use it a lot.

If you investigate the options which you see in the picture, you can easily understand how this method works.
