I need to clear some space, installing Vista I bought yesterday, but this folder takes at least 5 minutes to open, and to delete the whole folder freezes explorer.exe, can someone tell me how to get rid of this folder PLEASE?

What folder are you trying to remove exactly ? the Ignored folder or the Contacts folder?

Cause on my PC the Ignored folder doesn't exist,I have a bunch of Hidden sub-folders. Which are named the emails of people who have signed onto WLM on my pc.

If you're trying to delete the whole Contacts folder you could try the following:

Goto:

C:\Documents and Settings\user\

Or if you're trying to remove the "Ignored" Folder goto

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Contacts\Ignored

and do the same as below.

Select the "Contacts" or "Ignored" Folder then hold Shift and Click the Delete key on your keyboard. It will say

"Are you sure you want to remove the folder 'Contacts' and all of its contents ?"

Click yes and it should delete that folder.. If your explorer.exe freeze's give it a few second's to respond again. If that doesn't work try

if what banky said doesnt work you could try removing it with command prompt. for example if the folder is C:\Documents and Settings\user\Contacts\Ignored you do the following...

Click Start button > Click Run > Type "CMD" >
(if when you open up cmd it already starts with "C:\Documents and Setting\user" then go to the asterisk and follow on from there, if not keep reading")
Type "C:" (inside cmd) > Type "chdir Documents and Settings" > type "chdir (user)"
****> type "chdir contacts" > type "rmdir Ignored"

For this to work you have to check that you have absolutely no spelling mistakes. this SHOULD delete the ignored folder, so please dont complain if it doesnt.

Ok, thanks rm rulz, I managed to do the command in CMD, but I had to do a bit of editing though - forgot to put in the chdir <email address>. Forgot totally about that. Anyway, it's deleting now. Thanks for the help.
