Server Issues -.- by Eddie on 02-26-2008 at 12:08 PM

I am continually getting error #80048820 or 81000306

I have tried various websites in an effort to resolve this issue, including using the messenger troubleshoot, i have checked my computer date, regsvr'd the correct things, checked the security settings, i don't know what else to do? *-)

EDIT: The troubleshoot said there was a problem with my hosts file, i checked and the only thing in there was 127.0.0.1 localhost *-)

EDIT 2: After trying to get on ebuddy i see this error on the main page..."
The MSN network is currently experiencing technical difficulties.

This means that you may not be able to login or you may get disconnected when using the MSN network through eBuddy. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

Im guessing this is a widespread issue? *-)

I'm getting the error #80048820 too. It must be the severs.

I just had the very same thing (the hosts error spoke about something there preventing name retrieval), i think the servers are having problems atm. And it's probably a coincidence but for me restarting my computer helped...

Whenever I have had sever problems that has always said systems are running and stable. Correct me if I'm wrong but sever problems can be localised to a particular country or area. Didn't help me Sunshine.

Didn't help me either HSC, yeah dodgy messenger servers hehe, i guess you could change host files to something thats working but that might fault it in the future...

EDIT: Massive server issues, i cant even get to login.live.com or anything right now? *-)

still can't check emails ;[

And yeah, wouldn't trust the error messages they give you. Specially cause they change everytime you try to sign in. They basically try to cover as big an area of possible problems that means it isn't them, but it always is 8-)
