Hi Brothers,

I am now using Windows XP home edtion ( due to some reason i cannot use XP professional now. :( )

However, this Windows XP home edtion does not support the newest MSN messenger 8.5, so I need to find and use MSN messenger 8.1 again. |-)

The problem is I cannot find a MsgPlus version which can be used.

I have try MsgPlus 4.5 ( which claims that it still supports MSN messenger 8.1) but the MsgPlus cannot combine with the MSN messenger.(N)

Then I find and try MsgPlus 4.11 but the same thing happen again. ( I think using Windows XP home edtion but not XP professional maybe the reason. )

At last I try back the old version MsgPlus 3, this can combine with the MSN Messenger but cannot function.

I want to know is there any version of MsgPlus that I can use? Or is there any other ways to fix the problem?

hmm, that is odd, i have winXP home on my dad's PC with WLM8.5, MP!L 4.50 and MDL 1.3

try using this installer for 8.5:

Most probably that you don't have Service Pack 2 installed, hence, 8.5 cannot be installed.
If you want to have 8.5 on your system, go to Microsoft Update to download and install Service Pack 2.

Please note that MSGPlus! 3 doesn't support Windows Live Messenger (formerly known as MSN Messenger) version 8 and above.
You can try uninstalling Messenger and re-install it thereafter (if you don't wish to install service pack 2), that might solve the problem installing MSG Plus! Live.

You can use the latest version of Messenger Plus! for WLM 8.1.
