No.  You'll need to setup SQUID between your PC and your ISP device.

Or roll your own.

doesn't he want a proxy to proxify stuff for at uni or school?
and isn't squid like something corprate, the and probally the same sort of thing he's trying  to avoid,
if he was just after a proxy as such there are lists of proxy servers on the internet.

xen0h  most proxies don't support javascript, in fact i can't find any, but I will try that squid thing, thanks.

Javascript? Every proxy I have ever used supports javascript, but I haven't tried Java.

Use the curl-proxy

Google "Ultra Surf" Its a executable that will open IE and access everything via a proxy. It allows Flash as well, and it's very fast and the techys can't track it. I use it all the time.

RE: Proxy that works with java? by Jarrod on 03-23-2008 at 09:56 PM

well how do you intend to use the squid thing???
and i'm in the process of of seeing what will work with logmein

Its annoying cos my school blocks any exes that are run from anywhere outside the original directory, and since i cannot access the C:/ drive and only my own drive, i cannot run any programs. Also my school uses the rm management console if that helps

I dont really know linux too well, is there any pendrive window OSs?
RE: Proxy that works with java? by Nathan on 03-24-2008 at 07:08 PM

Not that I know of. The pendrive linux is simple to use, and lets face it, you dont need to be a computer wiz-kid to use it. And if you're only going to use it when you're at school then it will only be for internet, word documenting etc.
Just google it, you will find plenty of tutorials to help you :)

I think I found you a solution, google ultra surf mentioned in the other thread by napree, the extract it at home & rename it to u.com , com being the new extention obiously, now it is a com file not an exe :p

Using IE don't connect to the internet via the network just directly connect. It still going via the internet but skips the firewalls.
