I put windows vista to sleep as normal..... (instead of shutting down). I cam back and the orange light was flashing as it normal would do if i put it to sleep. I switched on my pc and did what i u sally do. It had the battery in and a mains power supply. RE: wtf... by Menthix on 03-27-2008 at 01:54 PM
Might be problems with your memory or power supply. RE: wtf... by Quantum on 03-27-2008 at 01:58 PM
Thanks. RE: wtf... by foaly on 03-27-2008 at 03:47 PM
quote:That is dodgy reasoning... It can be defect when you got the laptop... Vista always has sucked with sleep/hibernate altough sleep should be alot more stable then hibernate... RE: wtf... by vaccination on 03-27-2008 at 03:54 PM Find it way quicker to just turn off/on again in Vista. But then I'm not using a laptop. RE: vista sleep by Quantum on 03-27-2008 at 04:12 PM
My laptops boot time is quite fast but ill still use sleep if i get anymore problems all just turn off... you would think windows would at least tell you what the problem was, or do they? RE: vista sleep by aNILEator on 03-27-2008 at 10:35 PM any dumps? RE: vista sleep by Quantum on 03-28-2008 at 12:38 PM
Just happened again. I left my laptop running on battery and it went into stand-by when there was none left. I switched on and a few minutes later it suddenly cuts. RE: vista sleep by Aardvark on 03-28-2008 at 01:13 PM Dodgy battery maybe? RE: vista sleep by Quantum on 03-28-2008 at 01:14 PM
quote: No, its plugged into the mains as well RE: vista sleep by aNILEator on 03-28-2008 at 01:51 PM remove battery just run from mains then, just cause it's plugged in doesn't mean it's running from the mains always RE: vista sleep by Quantum on 04-02-2008 at 11:29 AM I was normally using ubuntu and it just cut out again This time with ubuntu... so this means that's its something my in my laptop.. right? RE: vista sleep by RaceProUK on 04-02-2008 at 02:06 PM What make of laptop is it? I have one that's cut out completely once, and that runs Ubuntu Gutsy.
