I enabled chat logs a few weeks back. The chat logs for select contacts were being saved. Yesterday, I opened all the chat logs and read a few too.

Now I checked up, the chat log for one contact is completely gone. The folder just has 'images' and the "encrypted log file" has gone.

I right-clicked the contact and "open chat log"... I get a
"There is no log file for this contact or the file cannot be found".

No, I did not delete it. How can it disappear?

1) Just check your recycle bin, you could have deleted it by mistake.

2) If you go to the location of your chat logs using windows explorer (the thing you use to go to locations like, my computer, program files, etc.) do you manage to find the chat log there?

3) Double check that chat logging is enabled for that particular contact
