Don't know if you've noticed by Phenic Raider on 04-09-2008 at 05:19 PM

Can anyone actually read the auto messages left by yourself or a friend? I can't blends in with the grey back plate on msn.

Possible to change it's colour? Or maybe the black plate?
Or would this be more fitting for the suggestions for the next live update?

What are you talking about?

I'm not sure, but it doesn't sound like it's related to scripts.

that's just because of the skin you're using, normally it isn't grey...

Can you point out what part of the code turns it grey, so I can change it?
Thanks  = ]

you can easily change the automsg's color by modifying the registry; you might have to actually add the value name if it's not present.

http://www.msgpluslive.net/help/registry

Key: HKCU\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\your@email.com\Preferences
Value name: AutoMsgTextColor
Value type: dword

Color of the text inserted in the chat window when automatic messages are sent by personalized statuses. This is a COLORREF value.

Blah click the Plus! Menu > Override Contact's Font...

Simple as that

That would change the contacts font, I'm looking to change the Auto Message text colour, sadly the link kindly given to me makes no sense because I am in actual fact an idiot. = ]

OK, it's easy:

Start -> Run -> "regedit" -> OK

As mentioned earlier, navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\your@email.com\Preferences

See if the right-hand panel has a value name "AutoMsgTextColor", if not, right-click on it and click "New -> DWORD value"
After filling AutoMsgTextColor in the value name, double click it and input a color.

Well, the color is a RRGGBB format, each component (for example, RR) ranges from 00 to ff; to make things simple, if you don't know what value to fill in, how about telling us the color you want and we tell you the color code?

Ok, I got a list of a load of stuff, am I right clicking and Modify? Or Modify Binary Data

So what will do both? And how do I change the actual colour? I'm on a list of stuff, made the new one, just don't get the colour bit, I want it black.

For the colour black use 000000.

Or even easier save this zip and extract the .reg file. Open the file in notepad and change YOUREMAILHERE to your email address. Save the file and then double click it, it will ask to be added to the registry and then say yes.

However creating the DWORD value is enough since you only want it to be black. Just log out and back into WLM and it should be changed.

And from the list I edit the colour how? Just double click it and put the number in? And how do I make it take effect relog?
