Music Festivals 2008: Which ones are you going to? by aNILEator on 04-18-2008 at 03:18 PM

I've not got any tickets for any yet but might be getting 4 free for Download but if not I'm really considering Graspop in Belgium.

Anyone up for a Meet Up?

I would love to go to Wacken.

But, I'm afraid I'm not going to any festivals.

Was going to say, you can't go to all, or A your rich, B you're only going for 1 or 2 days to each festival and still having travel between them :-/

Oops, misread the question. :|

Thought it said "Which ones should I go to?"
RE: Music Festivals 2008: Which ones are you going to? by aNILEator on 04-20-2008 at 01:08 PM

Well if I get free Download Tickets I'll do download if not decision is to either go to read/leeds and buy from a tout +o( go to download or grasspop

I only bands that I really want to see/haven't seen before:
Reading/Leeds: Rage Against The Machine, Tenacious D, Pendulum
Download: Kiss, Judas Priest, Disturbed, Airbourne, Pendulum

But if I was to go to Graspop its lineup is soooo much better than both of them, I just miss out on RATM, Tenacious D, Disturbed and Airbourne but there are other bands that more than make up for the loss

Grasspop Lineup
Download Lineup (pretty poor this year)
Reading/Leeds Lineup

RE: Music Festivals 2008: Which ones are you going to? by andrewdodd13 on 04-20-2008 at 01:12 PM

Disturbed are pretty amazing Nile.

I'd probably go to more of em, except I have an urge to drive everywhere, which costs a hell of a lot of money considering the Scottish border is 60 miles from where I live, and most of them are far south.

Was thinking of going to Rock Ness, but the weekend was unavailable at work. :(

RE: Music Festivals 2008: Which ones are you going to? by aNILEator on 04-20-2008 at 02:10 PM

Yeah but then it is only 1 band, which is why I'm waiting it out till I know about these free tickets I might be getting hopefully some news on Wednesday, Also I've not been to Graspop and that might be really fun and a whole lot better, I know it goes on till about 1:30 every night, so much longer sets from the headliners for sure :D

Anyone up for a Meet Up?
I should be ordering my Download ticket soon, so if you're there too, why not?

If it wasn't for the fact I spent my money on seeing Queen I would probably go to Leeds.

Like I said, it was a kind of retrospective thing.

If your struggling, ask to be a marshall or something?

Or you can work in catering.

The Reading/Leeds lineup is pretty good.

And there are some alright bands going to Download, probably won't go though, no way of getting anywhere ;[

Not bought a Download one, waiting to see if I got 2 for free from my Neighbor.

-----------------------

Download was fun, Graspop next week :D I'll be seeing KISS and Judas Priest again :D then Maiden, hellishly good lineup

That friday I'll be attending the biggest open air party in Flanders. It's something I help with each year. (lasts till 3:00, after that we dismantel and clean up. This takes all weekend long).

Saterday I need to go to a funeral :(

So, maybe sunday during the day? Maybe I'll drive to Dessel (although it is pretty far). Can't promise anything though...

RE: Music Festivals 2008: Which ones are you going to? by andrewdodd13 on 06-21-2008 at 07:20 PM

So umm, does Kate Nash at the Fringe count?

I'd love to be able to say I'm getting dragged along cause it's my mates birthday, but in all truth... I quite like her stuff. :D

Maiden seem to be playing everywhere. I suppose I should go and see them at least once before Bruce Dickinson decides he's too old.

There are probably many more though...

Somewhere Back In Time 2008 world tour, only 1 date in England though.

They're one of the best bands/The Best band I've ever seen live so I really would suggest seeing them
