stop: c000021a: fatal system error by billbert10 on 04-19-2008 at 04:06 AM

I have a Inspiron 1501. Dell sent no disks with the system becuase they said there was no need as it was on system.  However I got the following error message and can't boot
stop:c000021a: fatal system error
session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectaedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000). / the system has been shut down.
Dell says my warranty is up.  I have tried the last good configuation , no good.  I need help and am not a sophisticated user so can anyone help?  Thx:cry:

Have you tried accessing Safe Mode (tap F8 at startup)?

I presume you have Windows XP?

This is the only fix I can find, which links to this forum post.

0xc000021a = STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED
This means that a vital system process terminated. That's all it means. The important information is the reason that if failed:

0xc000026c = STATUS_DRIVER_UNABLE_TO_LOAD
So it looks like you have a driver in there that is failing. Does the BSOD have any drivers names?  (*.sys)

Dell should have included recovery discs, regardless. If they keep refusing, just send a complaint to the industry watchdog.
