[Bug] Submenu arrows missing in Vista by mynetx on 05-04-2008 at 01:17 PM

The submenu arrows for Messenger Plus!-generated menus are missing when hovering the submenu entry in Windows Vista.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click the Messenger Plus! icon in the contact list toolbar.
  2. Hover the item "Lock Messenger", and look at the entry "Messenger Skin", it has a black arrow on its right.
  3. Now hover the item "Messenger Skin" so the submenu expands. The arrow is gone.

i use XP and the plus menu highlights in white but the menu on the toolbar (or next to the close in my case because i use WAM and that's how i have it) highlights in blue

Arrow becomes white when hovered over and turns black again.

This might be an old known issue...
...which, in that case:

This problem is actually part of my "what sucks in the Windows API" list (which is not that long). There is no way to custom draw the arrow displayed for popup menus which means that I have to let Windows draw its own. Sorry about that.
