USB Hub not working - Printable Version

Today i bought a 7 Port USB Hub with power, and connected it to my computer. Unfortunately, anything i connect to it does not register with the computer, although they do receive power.
Does anyone know why this is happening? (Yes i have connected the USB Hub to the computer ¬.¬)

so in device manager everything works, exept the devices in the hub?
try another usb port?

Installed the drivers for it?(if it needs any)

disable power management.
Device Manager > expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers
double-click USB Root Hub
go to the Power Management tab
uncheck "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power"
repeat for all entries of USB Root Hub

I don't know how is nowadays, but about 6 years ago I couldn't use my keyboard and web cam connected to the same USB card.
What happens is that when using both, you "exceed" something (which I don't know what is) that makes impossible the use of both.
Newer cards may be different, but I don't know.
Try distributing better the devices, connecting those which uses more power directly to the computer, and the "smallers" in the hub.

Try it on another computer, maybe they sold you a broken device, it happens.
