Ok, I have a fairly decent connection, 3,000kbps, 20 gig limit... RE: Internet Problems :( by absorbation on 07-02-2008 at 03:03 PM Maybe HTTP traffic is really busy in your area, are you in a densely populated area? RE: Internet Problems :( by Eddie on 07-02-2008 at 03:09 PM

quote: close your torrent client and p2p shit completely and then see if browsing works. if it does, you very likely have a case of the max half-open connections limit being reached, in which case you should try apply that eventid 4226 patch to remove the stupid limit. get tcpview, and with your torrent clients closed, open it, and see if you see a ridiculous amount of connections with TIME_WAIT status, or overall just a lot of connections. if you do, then they might be left over when your torrent client was trying to rape your socket stack and they all got stuck in the queue and now windows is confused as hell. so, in conclusion, try rebooting and see if browsing works, before you open any torrent clients. If you can, dual boot Ubuntu and try browsing in that. If its speeds are fine, we can pinpoint the problem to be OS related. Not router. Also try a diffrent browser to the one your using, eg opera, FF, IE8, Safari and etc. RE: RE: Internet Problems :( by segosa on 07-03-2008 at 08:24 AM
