Allowing a program to run as a service by MeEtc on 07-13-2008 at 02:11 PM

Looking for some assistance. I'm trying to get a program on my server machine to run as a service so it doesn't stop running after logging out. I've found this and this, but it doesn't seem to want to work.

I have the files that are being referred to, and did everything mentioned, but it doesn't want to start the program I want it to run.
This is on Win 2003, FYI.

Hmm, I used those files too (instsrv and srvany) to accomplish the same thing and it worked without problems...

Do you get any errors when it goes wrong?

You've probably already seen this site in your search, but meh, it shows how it should be done (with screenshots) if nothing goes wrong :P

Nope, no errors or anything. I even see srvany.exe in the process list (but not the program I want to run [psybnc.exe]). I run the process manually, and I connect to the bouncer just fine. When using the service, IRC just shows an error of connection refused as if the bouncer isn't running.
