Wii Messenger Help by McTwitch on 07-16-2008 at 11:15 PM

I imported the Wii Messenger skin onto my Windows Live Messenger but on the screen shot of the preview for Wii Messenger the top (right above where it says file, contacts, actions, tools, etc..) it has the wii icons for closing and minimizing the messenger, but on mine it's still the default windows XP closing and minimizing buttons. Sorry, i'm a noob at this stuff :$

You are showing the menu bar which is why you are seeing this.

Click the file button (the button next to the colour window colour changing button) and then untick "Show the menubar".

This will cause the top part to disappear and the new buttons to take its place.

thanks a lot man! works now!

EDIT: Wait a second, it worked for the conversation windows but not the actual MSN window itself... When i click "file" on the MSN window there is no option saying "Show the Menu bar", it only goes to Plus!.

Again the file menu next to the color changing button.... not the actual file menu at the top.

I know i went there but, beside the color changing button but it's not there. (The one that says Show Menu Bar, it only goes up to Plus!) and in the conversation windows it goes up to "Show Menu Bar" which is under Plus!... Do i have to uninstall the skin first then do it or something?

I have the Alienware desktop theme, if that matters =\

just out of curiosity... do you use windowblinds?

Because if you do then that is most likely your problem. Windowblinds causes problems with Messenger Plus Live.

You have the client fully maximized, you won't get the option Willz was talking about when it's like that nor will you get customized  _ []X.

Good catch :P

Thats what happens you don't get enough sleep. I was too tired to realize that he had the window maximized XD

But yeah when you have the window maximized you will never see the skins min max and close because that is how Windows Live Messenger works and we can't change that. So don't worry about it.
