After it's at 0 is there a way to bypass it? Or make it Multi-Region?

You'd have to find region free firmware for your drive.  You then wouldn't even need to change the regions anymore, as the drive would disregard the setting and play everything.

Unfortunately, brief search found no such firmware for UJ-850S, only a lot of people asking for it.

I used to get this too, but for some reason after formatting and reinstalling Windows I seem to be able to play every dvd I have (there were certain dvds I own that I couldn't play before, unless I changed region, so I know for sure).

If I remember correctly libdvdcss (which is used by VLC) does not require the region of the drive to be set anyway.

Would my PS3 play a standard DVD region 1 of PS3 was bought in the UK (region 2).

yes.  if you use software that does not check the region, it will work.

For the love of jesus :p (hésus)

PS3 Games are Region Free

That means no matter what region your PS3 is USA, UK, ASIA or SEPHIROTH, your PS3 will play that game.

Blurays are region locked (THIS INCLUDES DVDs, because DVDs are also region locked...unless specified, like immigrant movies on ebay :p)

You cannot watch your REGION 1 HENTAI on your REGION 2 PS3.

DO WE GOTS THE IDEEAAZ

Boot PS3 Linux, install VLC. Watch DVD. Done?

Or does the lack of graphics make that fail?
