MSN limits me whenever I try to copy and paste a really long amount of text to my friend.

Then just give the URL to your friend.

He's not talking about URLs i believe.
Plus! Allows you to send up to 1100 characters per time, a work around would be cutting your message in parts or sending a .txt file instead.
