Mail Problem by ChuckNorris on 10-29-2008 at 07:28 PM

Hello everyone. I got subscibed here today!
Today I saw that hotmail renewed the mail web page design. I use POPPeeper to check my hotmail mail, it has always worked perfectly. But, from today it doesn't receive any mail from hotmail. Has hotmail changed the servers or something like that?
Thanks

Microsoft has stopped access to Hotmail accounts via POP long ago. It is now a premium service that requires users to pay. Perhaps you are/were using a grandfathered account that had POP access enabled before they started charging.

At any rate, you probably won't get it working again unless you start paying Microsoft a subscription fee.

Hotmail has started updating some accounts with a new interface. For these accounts, POP Peeper will report 0 messages.

Hotmail has started rolling in a new interface and has caused POP Peeper (webmail v3.3.0.9) to report 0 messages in the updated accounts. As of right now, there seems to be a relatively small number of accounts that have gotten the updated interface.

A fix to address the updated interface is currently being tested. The update is backwards compatible with previous interfaces of hotmail.

Exit POP Peeper and extract the zip file and overwrite your existing webmail.dll.

If you encounter any issues with this, let me know as soon as possible.
