Hi, RE: Router defaults? by Phillip on 11-07-2008 at 02:52 PM
What sort of router is it. There is usually a tiny little button on the rear of the router you have to push in with a pen or other small object. RE: Router defaults? by Spunky on 11-07-2008 at 03:29 PM Use ethernet and try going to http://192.169.0.1 It's usually the default config page RE: RE: Router defaults? by Phillip on 11-07-2008 at 04:11 PM

Yeah, well, I've been busy all afternoon, and got it some kind of working again using the "did-somethingbut-dont-know-what"-method.. RE: Router defaults? by RaceProUK on 11-07-2008 at 06:43 PM

quote:This is why I asked him what router he had. Not all wireless routers have ethernet ports. The fact that he had to contact his modem directly is why I thought this. My post was the only one needed. It is how you reset your router without having access to it. Even RaceProUK's post wasn't needed as I pointed that out to. Run along now scamp. This image is a schematic view of the normal situation, and yesterday's: RE: Router defaults? by Voldemort on 11-08-2008 at 08:22 PM pc downstairs should go to router RE: Router defaults? by SmokingCookie on 11-08-2008 at 08:28 PM
It is (wireless). That's why my parents wanted WPA2 security. (And I didn't 'cuz I knew it'd turn out like this). RE: Router defaults? by Menthix on 11-08-2008 at 08:51 PM
You should be proud your parents at least know how to secure their wireless network RE: Router defaults? by SmokingCookie on 11-08-2008 at 09:00 PM
They didn't know until my mother read the "digital-magazine" from the "Consumentenbond" quote: Well, I've clicked the mouse button LOTS of times that afternoon, only to try and repair the damage damage done by these security settings. |
