Okay....here's the query

I'm looking into using Football Manager Live at work.

For those of you who don't know, it's an online version of the Football Manager gaming series.  It uses a downloadable client to access a server which runs all the information.

I can install the client at work, but it cannot connect to the update server in order to download the latest verison and then log in, play, etc.

I suspect that this is due to firewall ports being blocked (namely 9999 and 9920, as specified by the FML Website

The client itself gives NO options for changing ports, using proxy, etc, whilst getting the ports unblocked at work is not an option as the firewall is out of my hands (working in a University College IT Department, but port blocking is controlled centrally and can only be unblocked for work related things).

If there's some way that I could get access to it to log on and play a bit, etc then that'd be great.

If there's not then I can live without it....it'd just be nice if I could get on during the day sometimes, to make transfers, etc.

I'm welcome to any ideas :)

I've downloaded that and am giving it a try

A couple of queries with it....

It seems to be hanging on 'Searching for tunnels' and not doing anything.....and I can't open any applications via it (including IE, etc)

Also if I try to enter my proxy settings (we connect via a proxy) then it comes up saying that it failed to connect to it, even though it's just taking the proxy settings from IE (i tried putting them manually too).

Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply not gonna work?
