Word 2007 (When printing get big white gap) by Quantum on 12-08-2008 at 06:10 PM

Ok i made a document in word 2007 and took out all the margins. But when i print + in PP mode i get a small gap around all sites except the bottom. On the bottom  there is a BIG gap!

This is really annoying me as i can't print the whole page. It is set to A4. In the normal editor window the pages has no "border" or margins.

Why are you wanting to print right to the edges in word?

What's the document of?

If it's a picture (or such like) then you're much better off using powerpoint as you can (I think) actually achieve true borderless printing.

Also bear in mind that the printer settings might be over-riding any settings in word so check print settings for margins, including advanced print settings, just in case

Done advanced print settings ages ago. Also, i only use word and it's a doc with text

text only documents really shouldn't be printed borderless :S

there's got to be something in either the printer's own settings or in word's print settings though

looks like other people are having the same problems though:

not sure what to suggest really.....is it really that important?

Could you explain then?

Might help us provide at least a decent workaround even if we can't achieve the exact result (ie borderless printing on word 2007)

How do you mean? Lets say i only have word and i need to achieve border less printing :P

How about posting the document as an attachment to let us have a look at it?

It's private :P

Why precisely does this word document need to have borderless printing?

That's the question i'm asking.  If you help us understand the circumstances under which you need to achieve borderless printing then we may be able to come up with a viable alternative.

If you keep being cagey we'll get nowhere :P

It's a poster.

So my initial thought was right :P

You should be using powerpoint for a poster.  It's as simple as that.

If you want to use word then it looks like you're left with the option of either fiddling with the settings for all eternity, or printing it out as close to borderless as you can get it and then cutting the rest out yourself.

Or you could just make it easy for yourself and use powerpoint

It's your choice :P
