Are you refering to the new header image? I like yours better than the current one... Eljay's is too repetitive... and doesn't look like snow at all.

Thanks guys, as you can see it's the same as eljays, just with a tiny bit more details and less repetiveness.

Maybe DZ wants to change it?

It's awesome! Although, an addition of a snowman wouldn't hurt it either.

My idea for the christmas logo!
Winter header is back

I'll just repost my version here.. it's slightly darker than the one I suggested last year.
Imo it fits in better with the forum theme than any of the dark blue headers..

Well it's never gonna be random when you stick to the original size of the tile image. (80x80 px for the spring header)
Btw it seems Nathan used a pretty wide tile image (300+ px ? =p) judging by the screenshot..
Looks like it only repeats three or four times. Which kinda defeats the purpose of using a tile :p

Yours looks good but is too crowded.. too many snow flakes and yes, it looks repetitive too, just not as much :P

Hm my guess is you're trying to use Stylish or something similar to replace the header images?

Since my winter header is a modified version of Eljay's spring header, the easiest way to get the winter header with usercss would be to switch to the Plus! Live - Spring theme and then just replace the images with UserCSS/JS/Stylish.
Otherwise the tile might not line up with the logo correctly and you'd have to include more overrides manually.

Btw, the color is #666666, according to mpl.css :p

Oh and andreys is nice, but it's not really suitable for the time of year. At this time of year (christmas) everything is much darker, the days get darker much earlier...

I personally prefers andrey's concept as it blends better in with the blue, also, the current image is too dark and unreal.

Looks more like the dark blue is blowing out instead of sucking in.

It shouldn't be dark blue, just 'cause it's dark outside doesn't mean you need to make a dark header, last time I checked we didn't make the header darker at night ever day. Not to mention the fact that it's not even that dark out in the day, at the moment, it's fully clouded here but still a really light grey. I would more readily associate the white of snow etc with winter not the dark sky at night.

It makes much more sense(and looks much better) to make a header which fits in with the forums design.

All I did was expand upon eljays (which has been used for ages). I kept the same design colours, just randomised the snow and a few more details...
