i installed the windows 7 but the windows messenger 8.5 lite is not working on it... so am back to vista...
any one know how to fix it?

use the new wlm 2009 instead of 8.5 lite it's silly anyway :P

wlm2009 is  crap . an probably unusable for a lot of people like myelf. so using WLM8.5 makes sense to use since there isnt any real reason to use 2009.

WLM 8.5 Lite is just the normal Windows Live Messenger 8.5 with a bunch of manual tweaks from the msgshit.com people. The unmodified WLM 8.5 works on Windows 7, so the modifications must be breaking something. Try the msgshit.com forums.

lol... why is this person even here... you can't expect a moded version of messenger 8.5 to work on Win7 plus I don't see how that fits in this topic at all considering its WLM 9 on Win7. I've been using WLM 9 for months with out problem just upgrade to it.

EDIT: they split the topic so apparently it is on topic now but yeh this isn't the place to come for WLM 8.5 Lite problems. I propose that this topic should be merged with the other topic of almost the same name.
