Does anyone get them? It just happens out of nowhere, and you must restart it.

What version do you have?
Go to Help > About Messenger

i have the final version 14.0.8050.1202, i'm on vista and it determined the problem was something to do with adobe, i'm guessing my flash player 9

What said that the problem was Adobe? What was the error exactly, if you got one? Never seen an error for Messenger that blames it on Adobe, lol.

well when wlm doesn't respond i close it and it has a small window saying it's finding a solution to the problem and then a new window pops up saying its something to do with adobe. i will post a picture of it when it happens

MSN Messenger uses flash player to display some parts like the ads, the advanced dp's and games and stuff. Try upgrading your flash to version 10 and see if it still happens.

As it says, Adobe are aware of the problem and hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Only thing I can suggest is try removing Messenger with ZapMessenger and Flash Player with the uninstaller, restart your computer, then download and install them both again.

For the time being downgrade (opposed to update) your Adobe Flash Player. There are more reported problems with the last couple of updates from Adobe's Flash Player in other apps too...
