My "What I'm Listening To" option messes up. I'll start a song and it'll show up but then it'll disappear and be replaced by a dash. I am unable to see others people music also. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

Which media player are you using?
Also do you have any Messenger Plus! Live scripts enabled?

Winamp, and the "Now Playing" script.

It's possible that there are some incompatibility issues between the Now Playing script and the new version of Messenger.
Try posting in the thread below and seeing if anyone else is experiencing those problems

It may also be worth looking in the scripts database for another script which will allow you to have your Winamp now playing as your personal message
