i recently installed the 2009 version of windows live messenger but i didn't like it so i wanted to go back to an  older version but when i went into control panel and tried to uninstall it nothing happened .i tried using system restore but the restoration dates don't go as far back as the day that i installed it and now everytime i log on windows messenger starts up but then something comes up and says its not responding and that wasn't happening before

Download Zap messenger from here http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/ZapMessenge...wnload-115115.html, run it and then download WLM 8.5 from http://www.filehippo.com if you do not like the latest version.
