Xbox 360 Connection Questions by Eddie on 02-02-2009 at 02:03 PM

Hey guys just a few questions...

Would an antivirus have an impact on my ability to connect to things on the Xbox 360 when its bridged?

And if i was to get a wireless connection would it make the connection worse or would it work alright

I bridge my connection with an anti-virus installed, and it works perfectly fine.

Naturally the connection would be weaker, but if you have a good router you will not notice any difference.

Simple check: Disable the antivirus for a few hours/days and see if it gives you an performance boost.

When bridged the Xbox's data travels through your PC where any software inspecting your PC's traffic will also inspect the Xbox traffic. So yes, it could interfere.
