Messenger Plus!Live not working with two accounts by bernard on 02-04-2009 at 06:25 PM

Hello,

I installed Messenger Plus!Live following the instructions of the tutorial.

1.Uninstalled Windows Live Messenger
2. Cleaned with CCleaner and deleted WLM folder
3. Reboot
4. Install Windows Live Messenger v. 14.0.8050.1212
5. Intalled the patch, which reinitialised WLM
6. Installed Messenger Plus!Live

Now the button of MPL is there. It works, I configured many details. Including the one that enables multiple sessions to be opened at the same time.

The problem is that I cannot figure out how to open and additional session. No button, I click the File button in WLM and there is no option to connect to a new account, only to disconnect from the account I am on.

Thank you in advance for your instructions,

open WLM again and another main window should come up so you can sign into another account

thanks for the quick reply! :-)

I just went to the Messenger folder, clicked again at msmgr.exe and it opens an error message "We were unable to connect to Windows Live Messenger', error 80071392. A new icon of the WLM is now on my taskbar, but with a red cross in it (offline).

Am I doing something wrong?

thanks in advance for your help.

error 80071392 happens when you try sign into the same account as the first one iirc.

make sure you're signing in with a different account in the second messenger

Thanks. However when I start up WLM for the second time by clicking on the WLM icon in the program menu, it does not opens any window for  me to insert my second account login data. Just shows this window with the error message.

Should I start up WLM differently?

Works perfectly! Thanks for the assistance and keep the good job. BTW, do you have an application that could open two simultaneous accounts in Sky pe?

Hi Toddy,

Thanks for the help with Skype. One of the multiple skpye launchers has a feature that would be great for Messenger Plus!: the autologin. You just click on the  confif .exe file and insert the userid and password for all your skype accounts. Now you just put an icon of the application . exe file itself into the startup folder.

All you have to do is to turn on the computer, both skypes will autologin automatically.

This feature would be most welcome by all Messenger Plus! users!

Here you have the links to the application: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=88055

Hope you like the suggestion.

Cheers,
