Well guys after a lot of hard work I am proud to bring you an update to one of the most popular Messenger skins to exist. Ev0 was my first original messenger skin and it has still stuck around all these years and still remains to be one of the best.

So whats new in Ev0 4?

Well for starters it has been updated to work on Windows Live Messenger 2009. Although it wasn't the first skin to hit 2009, I still consider it to be the first complex skin

Anyway the skin has be made from scratch and I have introduced a new system to mix scenes, frame colors and colorization together to give a lot of flexibility in the design.

Users can pick from 64 window frame colors, then blend that with their scene and finally colorize the Ev0 buttons to suit their tastes. Ev0 also features some of the settings that was introduced into Sopair including adding a 3rd display picture to the chat window, and moving around the layout to suit your tastes.

One IMPORTANT thing to note guys though is that Ev0 4 is ONLY compatible with Messenger 2009. This is simply because Ev0 4 relies on things that do not exist in Messenger 8.5.

My sister hated the new Messenger layout and with this skin, she says it couldn't have been better.

Maybe add an option to align the toolbars to the centre and that other little registry option that hides the "box" at the bottom of the contact list.

Also, I found a bug. In a convo with a yahoo user, it looks slightly messed up (your buttons at the top-center).
I won't provide a screenshot because my connection won't allow it.. too slow, timeout.

Wow, it looks awesome! Options panel is very user-friendly too!

I love the shadow and the text and the way you have incorporated the chat window into what i suspect is the surrounding border, very well done and look forward to your future work But im curious, is it possible for you to turn off scenes and leave the default wave so we can colour the chat window how we would like?

That is already a messenger setting. In the chat window go to "Tools->Use the default Scene"

Hey mate, i keep noticing a minor issue, that when someone sends me a new message, the window doesnt scroll correctly and cuts half the new message off. Is this an actual issue with the skin or a messenger issue?

Another bug is if you remove the search box on the contact list and you start typing as if you are searching you will get a blinking cursor near your display picture.

I don't like the media personal message (how it looks on the window) :/

And suggestion (contact list):
- Add options to remove those three buttons beside the search
- Add an option so that the big buttons at the top will be small (so small 16x16 icons)
- An option to remove the star button

Beautiful skin *-* but is some way to delete this ugly glow over the text in conversation window? i have dark background and i can see anything, and when I want to set white/black on msn scene settings everything set to red ;_;

Request: Can we have the option to align currently playing media to the center ?

it depends on how its read, it says with the rest of the buttons so you can interpret it to mean that the rest of the buttons from the word wheel toolbar move like i did or it can be interpreted to mean it will join the other buttons that exist on top toolbar your original statement wasnt entirely clear.

No, but if you hide the contact search bar all the buttons that are with it get hidden as well (ie add contact and contact dp options). This is done so that there is no unnecessary white space.

EMOTION SOUNDS !!

I've also downloaded the latest Version of the PLUS , but my sounds doesn't works !  and the other of my Contacts can plays them for ME , and I can't

You didn't said what happen, does it display an error or something? I think this is not related to the skin.

Well I haven't had any problems with sounds. I really doubt the skin has anything to do with it since the skin only touches Messenger graphics and layout. It does not touch Messenger Plus! and even if it did I can't disable a feature (skins just don't work that way).

If the sound is sending and being received, then Messenger Plus! is doing its job. I'm sorry I can't really be much help, but I have never had an issue with sounds and skins so yeah.

lol wow wasn't expecting that. and yeah that wont work. You would have to move some elements to the left and some to the right. It would just look ugly and would be bugged like you would not believe.

I think he means centering the toolbars.

And no I am not adding any more options, there is no room left in the options panel for that.

but I'm losing my mind! I downloaded the Ev0 4.0.2 skin,
I love it... BUT the background where your contacts are listed
is red and I can't stand it, it hurts my eyes. Is there any way I
can change this? Iv looked all over the place and I can't seem
to find anything.. If this can't be changed I'm going to be very
disappointed
