Hi How can I recover my old emoticons as I changed computers

there one thing you can do...log in to msn in your old computer (same account that has your old emoticons) and send all your emoticons...go to your new computer save it one by one once you receive it :P

That's a thread from 2006 though, I don't think any of those methods still work on the latest Live Messenger version.

Yep, the guy didnt mention his vesion though. Anyway, cant it be done by transfering the CustomEmoticons folder or something like that?

Just copying over the folder doesn't seem to work (tried on 2 vista machines with latest Messenger 2009). It will probably need some meta data from the registry too, but not sure what.

That sucks, so even if I want to apply it with pics it wont work. Got to add them one by one I assume.
