Hey there, I have a quick question and I just can't seem to get any answers on my own. I have old, and I mean old chat logs from back in 2004. Not sure what messenger was being used back then maybe msn 5 or 6? Either way These chat logs are very important for me and they are in XML form. When I have tried other XML viewers it shows me the words but its all coded and mumbled. Is there a way to view these in their normal chat log view? thank you.

Have you tried opening the XML files in a web browser?

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

in wish web browser you trying to open this file?
may be you'r web browser is not updated.
i recomending you to open this files with Opera web browser( i chacked, it's work)

This has got nothing todo with the browser.
Aphrini,
you get the error because you are missing a file, just as the error message says: "The system cannot locate the resource specified".
The file you are missing is named MessageLog.xsl and should be located in the same folder as your Messenger XML chat logs.
So, check the directory of your Messenger chat logs to see if you have a file there with the extension XSL (not xml!). If so, rename it to MessageLog.xsl.
If not, you can download the attached zip, and unzip the contents to your Messenger chat logs directory. It contains the default MessageLog.xsl file.
After you have put the MessageLog.xsl in the same directory you can open your Messenger chat logs again in Messenger or in Internet Explorer.
