How can I format my 4gb card to actually be 4gb? atm its under 2gb?

its FAT32 atm
I just downloaded a panasonic tool, it has options of size adjustment. did a full format. but it stayed at 1.85gb.
tbh, i think its a fake card, it wasn't expensive. lol.
Anyway of checking? or a few things i could try before giving up?

try formatting it as NTFS

such a shame you can't take pictures yet.......my sis had a similar tihng with hers.......is one of two things:
a) fake card
b) dodgy formatting
keep trying b).......and if not, then it's a)

I'm going to say something different , make sure your sd card reader is sdhc compliant as the same thing happened to me aegis ago, I bought a new reader and it all worked fine

hm, seems a good idea, the card reader im using atm has options for exFAT etc so im guessing its fairly new, the other one i tried to format it on after reading your post didnt even let me do ntfs!

FAT has a 2GB max and FAT32 is 8TB I think.. cbf checking.
