My friend can't install WLM by Shiny Rabbit on 04-19-2009 at 06:55 PM
she says she gets a thing saying she's not connected to the internet when she trys running the Windows Live installer, I have looked around her PC with Remote assisstance and found nothing helpful
she is running Windows XP SP3 and is trying to install WLM 14.0.0206
any help will be much appreciated

Maybe a firewall is blocking it... or antivirus...

it was unblocked in Windows Firewall, I even disabled it and tried and she doesn't seem to have any anti-virus

is she behind a proxy ? is internet explorer in offline mode ? try this click start run then type
proxycfg -u
This DEFINITELY applies to Windows Vista,
and mostly applies to Windows XP
