row 1 is locked, and when you scroll, it scrolls 2345 onwards. but not 1, its locked.

how can i replicate this? lol its at work but i want to use it for something else. ive never come across this before the stupidly simple excel spreadsheet.

help plz.

freeze the pane

if your using 2007 its view > freeze panes (just to the right of centre) > freeze top row

edit:
if you want to freeze more then one row, you need to click 'split' first, and move the split into the correct positions, then do freeze freeze panes

heh! wow, simple. thanks! :)

while im on the topic of excel

i was using vlookup, but it kepts returning like, the cell above.

eg:

1 a
2 b
3 c
4 d

if i search 2 it shud return b
but no, it returned c!

or search a, returns b. it was a consist offset of +1 to the column. even though all i did was vlookup. didnt know if this freezing thing would cause this ^o)
