hi, can someone provide a solution for me about the lost of contact list in the latest version of window live messenger? This problem occurred after i finished upgraded the messenger two nights ago. The weird thing is my contact list is still in good condition at window messenger (version 4.7). Other than that, my friend told me that my account sent him a link (malicious link) after a day i upgraded my messenger.

What do you exactly mean by "lost of contact list"? As for the malicious links being sent problem, change your password and that should fix it.

erm...after you sign-in, you should be able to see your contact list, right? But my latest version of window live messenger (version 2009) failed to show any of my contact list and tells me, "you don't have anyone in your contact list yet". But if i use window messenger (version 4.7) to sign-in, it successfully shows all my current contact list.
