Colon after type sentence by Xpeo on 05-05-2009 at 10:38 AM

Hey, in my windows live messenger
I've noticed that since I installed messenger plus
I get a colon ( : ) after each typed sentence that only follows the sentence last typed. Example

Sally says:
Hey what's up??

Bill says:
Nothing much:  <---

Now i wouldn't mind this much if it stayed at that but as the conversation progresses i get more and more colons. example:

Sally says:
I have the coolest cat

Bill says:
My dog is way cooler:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Is there a way i can keep messenger plus and not have this issue??

I'm working on windows vista 64x if that means anything

Thanks for any help you can offer

It is a WLM problem I used to get quite often... It can happen with any character and any number of them....

no i don't think it is... because when i remove WLM plus it goes back to normal and there are no :::::
and i've never had any other character other than the ::: for the past few months, I'm going to dl WLM and WLMP again and see if it fixes it but i doubt it

I think it's something to do with me running vista 64x to be honest. Is anyone else running it?

There are loads of people running it on XP, Vista, 7 both in i386 and 64-bit. Somebody would probably have noticed it by now.

Like I said, I used to get this a lot without MP!L installed although it happened intermittently.
