Hi

i was hoping you guys / girls could help me

my proxy settings were changed at work. skype picks it up automatically, how do i get my msn to do the same?

i have been struggling for a while. and i love skype but like my msn more :)

open internet explorer
click tools
click internet options
click connections
click lan settings
untick the box under proxy settings

but wont that then now allow me to go onto the internet. as the proxy settings are set for the net.

in which case you cannot use WLM at work.

WLM takes its proxy settings from Internet Explorer and if those settings don't allow you to use WLM then you're stuck :P

the corperate firewall should block all the ports required for wlm anyway
you could do it with some IP magic and openSSH but it's too complicated for this thread

its not blocked. skype picks it up perfectly.
but dont know why i am struggling with msn.

wlm uses the proxy settings from IE it's pretty straight foward

well if you do this and it doesn't work yes.
open internet explorer
click tools
click internet options
click connections
click lan settings
check the box about using a proxy server
enter your proxy details

if that doesn't work
