Well, according to the CMOS, "surfichris's" is the recommended way of writing possesives with -s, although "surfichris'" is also correct.

Yeah, I did English at Uni and both are completely acceptable...it tends to just be a matter of choice, or in some cases just the aesthetics of whatever particular thing is being written
