Google Chrome Issue by Eddie on 08-11-2009 at 06:02 PM

Has anyone here who uses Google Chrome, had a problem with it not being able to "Remember Me", There are numerous websites that it does not remember me after I have selected the option, I know Google Chrome isn't the best browser to some people but I like its speed and things so yeah.

Never had problem, it knows me better than I do.

EDIT: I will note however, that it occasionally loses some cookies [in that I'm no longer signed into places], but this is probably due to developer build updates

Most notably this happens on MySpace and Twitter for me, and I think I downloaded the developers version, however I'm not sure to be honest.

It won't remember me if I use more than one account, no matter what website. Even when I used the Public version, one of the reasons I use Safari/Firefox for the most part of the time.

I have no problems with this :S

I've noticed this on every browser i've ever used, seems pretty sporadic, i dunno.....i've never worried about it too much

is there a pattern to it....like....when it remembers it, when it doesn't?

Twitter: I have to sign in each time I change location; guessing it's just the way it does it.

Facebook: Have to sign in once in a blue moon.

I'm on Dev builds too and have noticed some strange behaviors, but not that. Problems are mainly related to tabs freezing and being uncloseable :p

Is this 'Remember Me' a password-saving feature, or just something on those websites?

Just a question: if cookies are deleted, then the password won't be saved, right?

Correct.

Technically, you password is never saved, just a unique key which identifies to the server you were already logged in. Unless you use your browser's build in password management, that's a whole other game.

Well, the people who are reporting problems in this thread don't really say which they are using. Like RaceProUK said:
