Contest 2009: Week 3 & 4 Results by Patchou on 08-11-2009 at 09:06 PM

Heya,

congratulations to all the winners! This summer’s contest is now over and it’s finally more than 780 lucky users who will receive a prize this year. Free prizes with a free add-on: beautiful life isn’t it? If you’re in the list, expect to get your prize by the end of September (international shipping can take a long time). We’ll be glad to see you post pictures of your prize on the forum for everyone else to see.

Below are the heat maps and winners lists for the last 2 weeks. If you’re wondering what those vertical lines are for the third week, it’s just that more people than usual tried to cheat this week for some reason :-). Don’t worry, none of them will get anything, as I mentioned before, I personally check all the winning entries, there’s just no point spending time on the creation of cheating scripts (apart for the sport, of course). We hope you had a good time playing the contest, stay tuned for more good news this autumn, big things are coming.

Perhaps you should just try asking in your own language. Somebody can probably translate it for you. I can't figure out what you mean.

Now that the contest is over, all the losers get to see the 1337 h4x that they were missing out on... (6)

And no, none of these were ever used with the intent of winning anything, nor were they released :p

[Image: 72640577.png] [Image: pic3fb9tmp.jpg]

Clockwise from top left: a registry hack to enable playing of the contest in IE, a tool to check for prizes at a randomly chosen pixel, and a replacement for msgplus' own interface to the contest (with automated random pixel clicking on a random delay, etc.) All developed by community members within a day, thanks to Wireshark and the magic of .NET \o/

Sources may be released if Patchou allows it (but don't count on it :p) Feel free to pm me (or just delete this post) if you don't want this here.

rofl..
MeEtc, may be Patch thought you were cheating.. which you weren't :P
Noting clicks you've made to not click there again is smart :P

Note to Patchy: Could we also have overlays of where exactly the prizes were for all 4 weeks? It'd be cool to see if a lot of people clicked around that area or something :P

The little Xs are where the prizes were.

Will a good soul make a table with the amount of winners from each country during the whole 4 weeks period? (A)

RE: Contest 2009: Week 3 & 4 Results by pardaL on 08-14-2009 at 02:26 AM

OMG! Why I am not in the List? I found two prizes!!

RE: Contest 2009: Week 3 & 4 Results by Volv on 08-14-2009 at 03:10 AM

Winners by Country (Top 30)

All other countries had 2 winners or less. Many countries had inconsistent spellings and there are winners who had cities instead of countries, where possible I tried to fix up such errors. If there was ambiguity they were left unchanged.

Thanks a lot Volv :D
Wow, we had 89 winners, and there were even more people with Distrito Federal as country, same with other cities =/, good luck Patchou!

RE: Contest 2009: Week 3 & 4 Results by Patchou on 08-14-2009 at 05:40 PM

Note: if you're not on the list of winners and fileld the winning form at some point, it's because you cheated or somebody else cheated with your msn account. There's just no way to go around it and thsoe who deny it will see their click grid posted on the forum as public proof :p.

RE: Contest 2009: Week 3 & 4 Results by elizath on 08-20-2009 at 08:44 AM

Hello. If a friend of mine, who downloaded Plus! from my reference link, won a prize, I should also win a prize, shouldn't I? If that's the case, and I submitted my personal information, is it normal that my name doesn't appear in the list?

RE: Contest 2009: Week 3 & 4 Results by Patchou on 08-20-2009 at 04:51 PM

If you won a price by referal, then you had to enter your information in the contest whiel the contest was open. It is now ended but I could double check for you. Please email me at contest2009@msgpluslive.net and tell me what's the msn address of your friend (and what's yours). Thanks.
