What version does it give you?

RE: Msn .net by Michael666 on 09-04-2009 at 09:39 PM

version?

it dosn't tell me.
it just says
MSn windows live..

RE: Msn .net by djdannyp on 09-05-2009 at 07:05 AM

there is no such thing as "MSN Windows Live"

When you click this link:

http://www.msgpluslive.net/download/

You will be taken to the download page for Messenger Plus! Live, an add-on for Windows Live Messenger, and there will be a 'DOWNLOAD' button for you to click which gives you the latest version of Messenger Plus! Live, as will be indicated by the filename.

If you think you are having problems with this, please try to explain with more detail

Are you still using the shortcut for Windows Messenger instead if Windows Live Messenger?

Uh... do you mean that you don't want to install the .NET Framework? I don't think that it's required by Windows Live Messenger, so you shouldn't have to install it, but it's a separate thing.

You aren't really being clear about what is happening. When you install Messenger, how does it appear? How can you tell it's the old version?

Can you go to Help -> About Messenger and tell us what the build number is? It should be "Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8089.726)", the latest version of Messenger.
