Windows problems by caxopa on 09-19-2009 at 09:26 PM

Everytime when I launch my msn this error happens:

If i click the 'send' or 'don't send' button, the msn closes instantly, but if I minimize the problem, it works, sometimes i can'y send or receive messages, but i think this is another problem :)

so, what i need to do to fix this problem?

Start your computer's control panel, (usually Start > Control Panel) then select either "Add or Remove Programs" or "Uninstall a program".

Wait for the list to load.

Once it does use the screen to uninstall both "Messenger Plus! Live" and "Windows Live Messenger" by double clicking on these programs and following their uninstaller.

Now in Windows Explorer go to the directory where you install your computer programs (most likely c:\program files)

Delete any of the following folders that you see. Windows Live, MSN Messenger, Messenger Plus! Live, Messenger Plus! 3, Messenger Plus! 2, Messenger Plus!.

Reboot your computer.

Start your PC back up and go to http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger and download Windows Live Messenger and install it.

If it works you may install Messenger Plus Live! from www.msgplus.net if you so wish.

Does this resolve your problem?

I've deleted all folders, installed again and the error persists.

The error
AppName: wlcomm.exe     AppVer: 14.0.8064.206     ModName: cvasds0.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0     Offset: 000205c3

Can someone help, please?

Before you deleted the folders, like you said, did you uninstall like I said?

Weird, I am now encountering the exact same problem but here is my error signature...

"AppName: wlcomm.exe     AppVer: 14.0.8064.206     ModName: cvasds0.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0     Offset: 000205a2"

I tried uninstalling everything and this is still occuring...
