I know this is on short notice and maybe a bit too soon after the Toronto meeting last August, but some Dutch speaking peeps are going to Montreal (Canada) in Octobre.

So, if you ever wanted to meet Sunshine, Menthix or me, this is your chance

We will be in Montreal for a short time in the week from the 18th till the 24th of October.

So, if you want to have a chat, a quick drink or something, let us know and we could maybe work something out! Or we could meet in a place closer to you (but that's a maybe)...

If Ottawa is in mind, I can drive. I have room for 5 (including me). Just a bit of help with gas would be nice. Ottawa is the capital of Canada so there are things to visit. It would have to be on the Friday the 23rd though (because of school, obviously) but I finish early. (sorry Joa, if I could drive all the way to Kitchener, I would )

Small update:

We are up for a meeting during the week at the evenings in Montreal.
Sunshine en Menthix are leaving for Niagra via Toronto on Friday (they will be in Toronto on Saterday if all things go well).

Since I can't join them (I leave on Saterday ) I am 'free' at Friday, so maybe I could go to Ottowa for the evening (fancy a drive Wacky?)....

so what are the plans for during the week?

Well, since there seem to be some people who want to meet us (and vice versa). The plan is to have a kind of diner meeting in Montreal. Sunshine, Menthix, Patchou and me will be attending for sure.

The time and date hasn't been set yet though, but it will be sometime between monday and thursday*. A more precise time/date will probably depend on when the people who are up for a meet are able to attend.

The later in the week the more chance there is to get a good reservation I guess, no? Anyways, tell us when you're able to attend and we'll see what we can do.

* Doesn't mean other people couldn't get in touch with for example Sunshine and Menthix in Toronto or Niagra or whatever in the weekend of course...

Scores is the tradition as far as plus! meets go.. lol.

You guys let me know, I'll check my schedule. Best would be on Monday or Friday for me (else I'm working form 8h30am to 10h30pm) so it's a little hard.

Ow.... hmmm, if it would be possible to crash in at the same day of reservations then it might be ok for us I guess... (Do you need to make a reservation at Scores actually?)

Though, it also wouldn't give other people much time to react, so how can we know for how many people we need to make a reservation?

The plan is somewhat like this (although we didn't consulted with Patchou yet, but we'll drag him into it no matter what anyways ... more on that monday during the day I hope):

Since we'll need to eat each day anyways, I suppose every evening can be possible.

So, to start, I suggest we have a dinner on monday at Scores, so at least Albert can come (unless he can make it on another evening too, tuesday?, all fine with us).

If Wacky is able to attend too, great. But, Wacky, the choice is up to you. Personally, I wouldn't want you to move the dinner with your brother though, there are other evenings too for us to meet. And till now I don't have much plans for friday (but a drive to Ottowa to meet with Lou, Sam sounds great. Gas payed of course). But that would be without Sunshine and Menthix as they have other plans on friday and the weekend...

So, if you also want to meet Menthix and Sunshine (of course you do ), you'd choose the evening, whatever fits best for you...

I very much enjoyed the Montreal Meet, though not able to join the fishing one...looks like it was fun. However MenthiX and me did have loads of fun too in our ongoing trip to Niagara falls via Toronto (no meets with others there, soz..lack of time etc.)

First night in Toronto was wet (was even on local news that it was unusaually wet, with trafic jams an all) so we stayed in mostly (Strathcona Hotel) and had an early night. Saturday we left by train for Niagara Falls at 8.30 so a good nights sleep was a good idea anyway.

Saturday, on we went to Niagara Falls. Arrived at 10:33. After dropping off our luggage at the Marriot Fallsview hotel (they stored it for us, as you can nog go into your room before 3 pm) we went out and took the scenic walk....long long walk it was. On the way we went on "Maid of the Mist" the lil boat that brings you real close to the falls, like in the smack middle of it. Was pretty impressive, after going through a wall of rain (mist) you get too the middle where above us we saw the sun come through the clouds. On we walked to Table Rock where the Welcome Center was...we decided not to walk long way round anymore to get to the hotel so we took the Incline Railway right up to where our Hotel was. In the evening we went for a lil stroll again then it was time  to get some sleep. On Sunday morning we did "Journey behind the Falls", yea yea more wetness and pictures of course, and managed to squeeze in a visit to the IMAX too to see the Niagara Falls movie. Then we had to catch our train again back to Toronto.

After checking into our Hotel (Radisson Admiral), located at the waterfront, we walked to CN Tower, which really was only like a 5 to 10 mins walk away from our hotel. We took the full package so we took "the ride", then upto the first viewing level by elevator that goes on outside of the tower with views outside . At the first viewing level outside part we ware caged in, so taking pictures was hard but hey we got some. Then to the glass floor, where you could see all the way down standing on glass tiles. Then we accidently took elevator down instead of up to the Skypod. Since we had to do Cinema too, last was at 20:30, we decided to do that first. Then we went back up, which they allowed after MenthiX explained we forgot Skypod and wanted to go upthere now (they didn't ask me..lol). After that we looked for some place to eat and that was it for the night really. Next morning our train went back to Montreal at 9:30, arriving at 14:30. There met up with Patchou again to go for something to eat at Old Montreal before he dropped us off at the airport.
