iPhone / iTunes Error by Eddie on 10-20-2009 at 05:11 AM

"iTunes was unable to load dataclass information from Sync Services"

I have tried all of the Apple Support instructions relating to Apple Mobile Device Support and the error itself, which simply asks if I have the latest version of iTunes installed, which I do.

Any help would be appreciated :S
Thanks!

don't use iTunes to manage your iPhone:P, me and my cousin were discussing this like an hour ago, we concluded that iTunes is a great media player but it is to simple to do what you want it to. some alternatives include foola, copytrans suite and winamp

Can this allow me to do updates? Backup contacts etc, as I do not wish to Jailbreak my iPhone.

Have you tried these?
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567

(a bit longer than only checking if you have latest iTunes, and it seems that reseting sync history did work for most affected people)

I couldn't even perform the first one because the Devices tab would always freeze my PC, I actually had to disable Bonjour and things like that to get access to the Devices tab, and then the delete sync history would never work, in the end I resorted to a reformat because my AMDS was corrupting during installation and I was just losing my patience.

Thanks though mate! :)
