please bear through the wordiness of this post.
ever since i installed Messenger Plus, my WLM has around 50% CPU usage, and it doesn't stop, and i'm not using it actively (i have one window open, but minimized). why is it eating so much memory when its minimized? it is really irritating to try to use my already slow laptop, but its even more irritating since an application that used to use very little CPU is now draining half my resources and making the usage of my system difficult. only when i close every window does it stop using cpu, which is really bad as the basic messenger doesn't eat many resources when windows are open (it can use zero when you have stuff minimized and somehow, Messenger Plus cannot), so if i want to chat while doing a little bit of work or gaming on the side, it's very difficult to leave a chat window open while i go and do my work as this will cause other applications to freeze up, thanks to my now memory-hoarding msn messenger.
I hope someone can find a solution to the problem, because my computer might not be able to take it anymore...

what is your hardware specs?
what Skins an or Scripts are you using in MPL? anything else?
buy more Ram? buy faster Cpu?

(is it the scripts that are causing the lags? and if so, can you specify which one? the pokemsn one is funnnnn)
also it mostly eats CPU when in chat windows, on the main WLM window it eats only ~25% when open and doesn't when minimized
but chat windows eat the CPU whether open or minimized
and its a laptop, buying more ram/cpu or upgrading processor won't work, i'll have to replace the whole motherboard which is expensive

try disabling all scripts an then see how it goes, then after that enable 1 by 1 . i suspect its a script but im not 100% sure about that

what features of plus are you using? this could be a slight cause of using ram.

nvm i traced the source of the problem. its because i have a bunch of gif pictures for my dp and my background. thanks for all the help anyways!
