Delicious hot drinks? by mattisdada on 02-15-2010 at 02:01 PM

Ive recently moved into a new place. But its a on res' university place, so i have to share fridges and stuff ( (Dorm room in a college, i think would be the correct terminology for most of you...)

I am used to having cold (nearly ice cold) drinks. I generally just have water. But now its a big hassle to have cold drinks like i used to, and lukewarm water is just disgusting....
But i do have a tap, and a kettle inside my room.

So i was wondering, whats some easy and tasty hot drinks I could have?

Ive had limited experience with tea's, some of the ones i find just tastes like water gone wrong. Adding milk/sugar or anything is fine. Hot chocolates/Milo's are nice with hot milk, but i don't like water versions of them.

So what would be the best drink to dabble in for a "newbie" like myself? (I prefer sweeter things)

i'd recommend tea, but why not just get a water cooler?

well, apart from tea, coffee or hot chocolate, you don't have much choice.. unless you consider alcoholic beverages like sake :p

why not just go to your local grocery store and buy some diff. types of tea? :p its all a matter of taste, so i cant really help you there :p

Apart from hot drinks... A small table top fridge is pretty affordable, and doesn't take up that much space.

That's what I went for.

I love my drinks ice cold too, whatever the weather, so I got a small fridge for my room at Uni

If you live in an attic, don't buy a hot tub for cooking/heating/hydration purposes. You'll end up lying on your back with a bad taste of teriyaki in your mouth and burning eyes.

I'd suggest you drink milkshakes that you've put in a microwave.

or tea.

why not? tea is so good and great for you  there are sooo many kinds too.

but I agree with a small fridge because juice is just too good to go without for too long :gfdrin:
