Eastenders live *Spoilers* by djdannyp on 02-19-2010 at 09:38 PM

So, Eastenders aired a live episode for the first time tonight to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the show where they revealed Archie Mitchell's murderer (a storyline running since Xmas Day)

I didn't see it being Stacey.  All along I had thought that it was Ronnie....then as the episode unfolded I was leaning towards Bradley, as he seemed SO insistant on running that I figured he'd done something more than just punching him.

VERY ambitious stunt to pull off live having him jump off the Vic too

And was it just me, or did Jack mess up a couple of his first lines, stuttering a lot?

Thoughts...?

Yup. :D Apparently he did in the live version of The Bill too.

Me and Ms. Spunky did... but we heard about Bradley dying and stuff months ago, so we pieced it together

Don't normally watch Eastenders (It's all a bit too cockney for me :p), but had to watch it live for the fuck-ups

Yeah he did, but the biggest screw ups were by the camera men :P

Not really, it was clearly a stunt double and you couldn't see the landing. 8-)

It was only worth watching for the screw ups though. It was obvious it would end with the "I killed him" reveal because that's the only way they could make the rest of the cast not know seeing as they have already filmed episodes for at least the next few weeks.

The way it was revealed on the same night as Bradley dying was pretty well planned too because now they can focus on that part of the story rather than Archie until they catch up with the post-live-episode filming :P

Yeah, I know that, but even for a stuntman to get it right first time is pretty good.....and I know there would've been mats, etc down there.....but given that the shot down there was only 10-15 seconds later there can't have been anything THAT big down there

I was watching it in Wetherspoons (pub) and saw the camera men zoom-in very fast :P

See the bit where Ronnie walked out of the shop without paying? :P
